Ilkka Halso works in Helsinki and Orimattila, Finland. He studied at University of Art and Design in Helsinki the cradle of famous “Helsinki School” and holds a degree in photography since 1992.
Halso is one of the most prominent contemporary photographers in his field. His works were shown in such museums like PS1, New York City, part of Museum of Modern Art, and in numerous exhibitions throughout France, Finland, Germany or Italy. Ilkka Halso foremost works with the Finnish nature and lifts it to a museum like appearance. By combining arts and science he refers to scientific methods and moreover he such comments our human desire to control nature and our environment.
